Mr. Elmore Patterson inherited a very challenging situation when he began his tenure as CEO of the Greene County Health System in Eutaw. This system is the largest employer in the county, and has an outstanding inpatient medical center, ER, nursing home, and rehabilitation service, and more health care agency. I have enjoyed the privilege of working with Mr. Patterson over the past two years, and can attest to his work ethic, dedication and perseverance, despite facing difficult circumstances. Perhaps these traits are reflective of his time as a decorated officer in the united States Army where he served our country honorably. Mr. Patterson has a heart for Greene County and rural Alabama, and I am proud to call him not only my colleague, but also my friend.

It would be impossible to count all the ways that Elmore Patterson has helped me in my career. Not only have he been a Superb mentor to me, but he have taught me how to mentor others. Mr Patterson opened my eyes to new stages of opportunity and strength. I’m so grateful that he took me under his wing when I was newly fresh in the VA. Elmore Patterson's leadership and examples have helped me grow into my potential. Thank you Mr. Patterson for being a superb mentor and guiding me on the right path. I will always be thankful of you.

Nursing Administrative Officer-Acute Care

Associate Director Patient Care Services (ADPCS)

At the time I met Elmore Patterson, I was the Director of Minority Affairs at Armstrong Atlantic State University.  At the time, I was finding it difficult to fill the role of my graduate assistant.  I had interviewed about three people already and they were not impressive.  The first thing I noticed about Mr. Patterson, he came dressed for an interview.  Many people during that time started to be more casual in their appearance in reference to employment opportunities.  After the interview I felt like he was a top candidate.  What actually sealed the deal was the interaction he had with the front office staff.  They had glowing reviews about his time with them, which was brief, but one of the administrative staff plainly told me, "He is the one".

In my time as his leader, he followed and offered many suggestions on how to make our office more visible.  He took his job very seriously and helped me reach the student population to determine what events and activities they wanted to have on campus.  I can go on and on, but If I had to sum up his experience at Armstrong, I would say that he made a difference in the lives of the students that we served

Sherice Brown

RN, Director of Nursing Services - Diversicare of Montgomery

I met Mr. Elmore Patterson when he came to interview for a position as Administrator of the Greene County Hospital and Nursing Home in 2013. We selected him for the position

because of his experience in healthcare administration in the military and private sector.

During the three years he served as the CEO of the Greene County Health System. Mr. Patterson did an admirable job in a difficult situation of operating a rural hospital and health

system in Alabama, where the state policy environment was not supportive of small rural facilities like ours.

Mr. Patterson made significant improvements in our facilities and systems; showed sensitivity  and concern for managing and supporting the staff; relating to the community and generally helping to build and

lift the performance and reputation of our hospital, nursing home and rural medical clinic.
